General Information

Service
Description
 Basic

These are the simplest and most popular patterns. Your quilt will have rows of continuous quilting designs that go from one edge of the quilt to the other.

Advanced

These include more intricate designs such as fancy flowers, leaves or meandering. Your quilt will have rows of continuous quilting designs that go from one edge of the quilt to the other.

Custom

A custom pattern requires a more individualized service that is designed to enhance your quilt’s overall appearance. It might include outlining individual blocks, stippling and meandering in the background, and selectively placed block designs. Free motion designs are also in this category.

Heirloom

A custom pattern that involves much more detailed work; involves marking the quilt top with stencils before quilting.

Traponto

This is a custom pattern that has raised areas in the quilting design, with additional batting behind these areas.

Thread

We use 100% cotton thread on the top and bottom of your quilts. Cotton is included in the price; there is an extra charge for variegated or King Tut thread.

Batting

If you prefer, we can supply the batting. We use 100% cotton batting, in Natural or White colors. We carry 90 and 120 inch wide sizes. We also carry 120 inch wide black polyester batting.

Quilt Preparation

Press your quilt top and backing. Mark the top of your quilt top with a safety pin. You will need to supply the backing. It must be at least 6” wider and longer than your quilt top on all sides to allow for stretching.

Bindingstart

We measure, cut and attach the binding to the front. You will hand sew it to the back.

Binding finish

We measure, cut and attach the binding to the front, then hand sew it to the back. In other words, we finish it completely.

Completion Time

Most quilts can be finished in less than a day once they are put on the machine. When you contact us for a consultation we can tell you how soon your quilt can be put on the machine.

Guarantee

The quilting process can hide imperfections, but we cannot guarantee that all imperfections will disappear. We will do everything possible to help make your finished quilt the best it can be.

Insurance & Shipping

Insurance and shipping charges are extra and will vary by location and size of quilt. UPS ground charges include $100 of insurance. Additional insurance costs $1 per $100 of value.
