Black Forest Quilting provides hand-guided machine quilting for those who enjoy the designing and piecing of quilt tops. We also provide services for making t-shirt and memory quilts, as well as binding. We are located in central Colorado Springs, Colorado.

If you prefer, we can supply the batting. We use Quilter’s Dream cotton batting in natural color. We carry 90 and 120 inch wide sizes. We also carry black batting for darker quilts. For thread, we use So Fine and King Tut from Superior Threads.

Candice was taught how to quilt by her Grandma Ruth when she was a teenager. She has been sewing for over 20 years and quilting for over 15 years. She has a passion for creating beautiful, sentimental quilts.

Candice first quilted on her grandmother’s machine (which was older than she was and had no stitch regulator). Several years ago she purchased her own longarm, an HQ16 with stitch regulator.  She has worked with and learned from Karyn Furch, founder of Black Forest Quilting, since 2017. Now, as the new owner of Black Forest Quilting, she uses a Gammill 12 foot Vision 2.0 with stitch regulator.

Candice received hands-on experience from her grandmother and more recently has completed a few classes in longarm machine quilting.
